 A Long Family Tradition......

Bruce Muir , founder of the Matthews Boutique legacy, has fashion and clothing apparel retail in his rich family past. History has shown us that in fact a distant forefather of his, a clothsmith /tailor , arrived in the Cape in 1820 by way of a ship captained by Sir Thomas Pringle.  Now almost 200 years later Bruce and his talented wife Louise Muir have settled in picturesque town of Hermanus Western Cape , where they continue to run a world class Boutique.

Matthews Boutique was established in 1984 in the quaint lanes of Pietermaritzburg Natal and now the Muirs have four successful clothing stores in the beautiful Whale watching town of Hermanus. 

 

We carefully select each item displayed in our Boutique Clothing Shop, and are always on the lookout for exciting new brands to feature.  Matthews Boutique is named after Bruce & Louise's eldest son.
